This role will support OMNOVA in leading the implementation, and execution of OMNOVA’s Global APEX (Achieving Performance Excellence) strategy. This includes Continuous Improvement (CI) methodology integration and project efforts. The Process Improvement Engineer is responsible for: leading and executing on key projects and activities; the mentoring of employees on CI methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean/TPS, TRIZ, Shainin Red X, etc.); the facilitation of events; they also ensure progress and milestones are being achieved as defined in applicable approved project charters. This position will collaborate with a wide variety of business and process owners to identify key improvements required to achieve strategic goals and priorities. Reports into the Sr. Manager, Global Quality.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
As a member of Global Quality / APEX team, drive development of the overall Global APEX vision and strategy for OMNOVA. Execute and support globalized processes and projects to drive consistency, capability and bottom line results across functions and locations.

Training, Mentoring & Facilitation (30%)
Applicable certification for areas of expertise such as: (Candidates all need to have been practicing this in their jobs, not just have the training/certification)
