    What are we looking for?

    The Quality Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Quality Management System (QMS) Portfolio and the development / coordination / implementation, and maintenance of the Plants ISO system. The Quality Manager will act as the primary point of contact on all quality process improvement efforts. The individual will directly manage all quality and ISO personnel. They will be fully accountable for making sure the Quality Management System is functioning in an effective and efficient manner, ensuring alignment with the Global QMS / Continual Improvement processes with an ultimate goal of total customer satisfaction. The quality team will be the experts on the quality system for the plant. The Quality Manager will need to effectively utilize the expertise of their team and hold them accountable to supporting quality improvement efforts in the plants. They must be agile and be able to quickly work with their teams to identify and resolve issues as well as identify opportunities and take action to continuously improve results. This role will collaborate with the technology team on a regular basis as well as interface with the global quality, business and commercial teams frequently. They must be able to pro-actively and effectively communicate to all levels of the organization as well as customers.

    Your tasks and responsibilities...

    • Responsible for promoting a workplace that has an unwavering commitment SH&E compliance.
    • Actively supports the Plant’s Leadership Team providing strategic insight and guidance as to implementation and effectiveness of the quality management system and ISO 9001:2015.       Facilitates the understanding and prioritization of key issues related to internal / external failures.       Defines causal relationships and facilitates planning strategy and key actions to improve performance
    • Provides priority guidance and project management support to reduce operational variability and align plant manufacturing capabilities within 6 sigma limits with product performance requirements / characteristics that satisfy Customer expectations.
    • Provides for the implementation and support of ISO 9001:2015 certification compliance with a focus on migration toward an integrated Q+SHE&S management system. Has direct responsibility for the Management of Change process for the facility.
    • Manages the development / documentation / and revision of the Plants Standard Operating Procedures to affect operational compliance and positively influence operational excellence.
    • Pro-actively provide resources to investigate and resolve quality issues including customer complaints. Serves as the primary liaison between the Plant and its Internal / External Customers as it relates to internal and external quality issues and opportunities.
    • Develop the systems, people, and teamwork within the quality organization that are needed to continuously improve the Plants performance through the quality management system. Develop critical competencies in team members through training, performance evaluations (PDS), and timely information and formal feedback sessions.

    Who you are...

    • Bachelor’s degree required in Manufacturing or Chemical Engineering
    • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience within a manufacturing environment.
    • Previous experience managing ISO 9001 certified quality system
    • Strong customer service orientation
    • Strong technical background in process control systems, continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing.
    • Strong leadership skills and team-based operating style. Leads by example; able to motivate and energize others.
    • Strong communication skills; able to listen and communicate effectively with all levels of employees.
    • Strategic thinker; able to define problems, collect/analyze data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
    • Ability to get results when there is no clear path or solution
    • Ability to strategize and determine where to focus when there are many competing issues/opportunities
    • Ability to change focus as needed and manage multiple projects at the same time
    • Demonstrated technical writing ability, report and presentation development
    • Strong planning and organizational skills
    • Proven project leadership and planning/organizational skills
    • Experience in leading and/or implementing organizational change
    • Full time; must be able to work off shift as needed to support product trial and improvement activities
    • Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in manufacturing similar products is highly desirable (roto-gravure printing, flexo printing, lithographic printing, coating, web conversion)
    • Experience with RCMS & RC/ISO14001
    • Certified Internal Auditor (Exemplar Global or ASQ Preferred)
    • ASQ CMQ/OE Certified
    • Certified Lean Six Sigma Green / Black Belt (ASQ Preferred)
    • SAP Experience
