    What are we looking for?

    The Supply/Demand Manager plays a central role in our business management process as a key member of our Sales, Operations, and Inventory Planning (SOIP) team. This role is responsible for developing, leading, and continuously improving the consensus forecasting process, which drives the creation of a robust supply plan to meet sales, service, and inventory objectives for the Laminates & Films business. As the owner of the sales forecasting and master planning processes, this role functions as the liaison between the Commercial, Sales, Operations and Supply Planning teams in support of the implementation of the SOIP process. They will collaborate with other cross-functional partners in supply chain, sales, marketing, and finance teams to achieve the desired business objectives.

    Your tasks and responsibilities...

    • Manage the monthly demand planning process, the output of which yields a demand plan for products at the appropriate levels of aggregation and time horizons to translate across the organization in a method that can be interpreted to multiple stakeholders within the company
    • Review historical sales trends, demand drivers, and other information as needed for the purpose of leading robust cross-functional demand discussions that result in a consensus forecast that is mutually accepted by Sales and Commercial leadership.
    • Consolidate forecast data; measure and analyze forecast accuracy at relevant levels of detail to help business continue to increase forecast accuracy
    • Support the Supply Chain Managers, Customer Care, and Operations teams in helping to solve supply chain challenges around being able to deliver to customer orders, particularly in constrained supply environments.
    • Manage and facilitate the maintenance of system integrity as it relates to Demand Planning and Forecasting, working with counterparts in other departments to ensure information is exchanged accurately and timely.
    • Designs, owns, and drives Master Planning process with 12-18 month horizon at appropriate level of aggregation with emphasis on identifying risks to satisfying demand and optimizing capacity utilization while ensuring close alignment with finance
    • Using historical data, forecast, and other relevant information, assess and adjust target inventory levels, safety stock and cycle stock
    • Provide training and support to Sales and others as needed with respect to forecasting tools and processes
    • Work in a project environment to support the expansion of demand management activities to other segments within Omnova

    Who you are...

    • Bachelors in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or other analytical field
    • 5-7+ years of Demand or Supply Chain Planning, Financial Analysis, Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Customer Service
    • Working knowledge of Laminates & Films business, customers, processes, or similar industrial experience
    • Ability to lead by collaboration, influence people, and communicate well across multiple organizational functions and levels.
    • Data analysis, assimilation, and interpretation skills
    • Demonstrate confidence and decisiveness
    • Strong oral and written communications skills
    • Excellent presentation and facilitation abilities
    • Excellent planning skills with experience in a deadline driven environment.
    • Experience in or discrete manufacturing environments with emphasis on Business to Business sales channels
    • Experience working with SAP or ERP based planning and forecasting systems.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, generally, with sophisticated to expert Excel abilty
    • Good understanding of the requirements and business processes of manufacturing, logistics, marketing, sales and finance
    • Strong conflict resolution and problem solving skills.
    • M– F (flexible work environment), may require some weekends or OT (upon request)

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Success Implementing S&OP processes
    • Success in managing teams
    • APICS Certifications
    • Experience in a customer facing role
    • Experience in the manufacturing industry
    • Demand/Supply planning experience in SAP
