What are we looking for?

 

 

Reports to the VP Operations. This position manages strategic, cross-functional, complex projects, team execution, processes and training to drive operational excellence. This role is responsible for utilizing PMO project governance methodology as well as leveraging and driving LEAN SixSigma tools and methodology, to drive key transformational projects, program initiatives, and change management. This role will be responsible for initiatives from inception to sustained adoption.

 

 

Your tasks and responsibilities...

  • Partners with senior level management to assess current processes and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Lead processes for selecting, scoping, prioritizing and executing projects to deliver business objectives and improvements through Value Stream Assessments, Strategy Deployment, Kaizens, etc
  • Tracks and reports on the progress of key projects. Ensures all key stakeholders are kept appropriately informed of project status and schedules reviews and project updates with committees, leadership team, and/or stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Plan and drive the execution of various transformation programs and projects targeted towards improving the business's performance (SOIP, Cost Reductions, Management Control & Reporting Systems, etc.)
  • Lead by example as an active change agent by managing complex projects. Lead cross-functional project teams for key, strategic projects.
  • Establish and coordinate consistent measurement of performance through metrics and dashboards. Work with site teams to deploy standardized management systems(Visual Management, performance meetings, etc) across manufacturing sites
  • Participate in the periodic auditing of plant performance and communication on specific plant issues, opportunities, and needs to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Provide leadership / mentoring / training to all levels of the organization on the practical application of Lean SixSigma methodologies, strategy deployment and project management/governance process.

Who you are...

 

  • Bachelors of Science in Science, Engineering or technical field
  • 10+ years of experience
  • 3+ years supervisory/management experience in a manufacturing organization
  • 3+ years of process improvement experience in manufacturing and transactional areas
  • Strong Collaboration, Influence, and Program Management skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, coach and effectively develop others
  • Process Orientation; Demonstrated experience in implementing systems and processes
  • Experience with program management and strategy deployment
  • Experience with process improvement tools; Lean and/or Six Sigma certification
  • SAP Experience preferred
