What are we looking for?

The Human Resource Manager position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and site leadership at the Auburn, PA and Fitchburg, MA operations facilities. Acting as the HR Business Partner for each site’s Director of Operations, the position serves as a consultant to the Senior Leadership team on human resource-related issues to ensure a high performance culture and effective management of our human capital. Acting as a change agent and strategic business partner, the role assesses and anticipates HR/talent-related needs, communicates proactively with HR leadership and business management and seeks to develop and implement integrated talent management solutions across the businesses.

Your tasks and responsibilities...

  • Partner with each site’s Director of Operations and Plant Leadership teams to prioritize and execute key initiatives in support of Operations strategies.
  • Serve as a key member of the site’s Plant Leadership Team. Appropriately challenge, coach and facilitate effective development and day-to-day operations of the team.
  • Leads and directs the performance and development of the site HR resources.
  • Provide ongoing performance development guidance and coaching to site leadership and line management regarding talent attraction, acquisition, development and deployment.
  • Design, execute and promote initiatives and behaviors that reinforce our performance-based culture, and maintain positive labor/employee relations.
  • Partner with Operations and Safety leaders to reinforce safety culture and drive strong safety performance.
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve teamwork/communication, build morale, and increase productivity, engagement and retention.
  • Provide HR policy guidance, interpretation and coaching.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Execute talent processes and programs designed to meet current and anticipated future talent needs, to include Operations and Engineering Leadership development.
  • Participate in design, evaluation and monitoring of site training programs to ensure successful outcomes. Supports leaders in driving accountability.

Who you are...

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Employment Labor Relations, Business Administration or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience; Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, talent management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
  • Experience working in a progressive HR environment with exposure to best practices in talent management, employee relations and change management.
  • Experience working within manufacturing plant operations.
  • Career path in Human Resources that demonstrates increasing responsibility/progression.
  • Demonstrated strong business partnering skills.
  • Demonstrated learning agility.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Labor relations/works council experience.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).
